DEPARTMENT OF COUNSELLING

 

The school provides, not only academic learning, but also the learning of social, affective and attitudinal behaviour. From the Department of Counselling we do a coordinated work with all the educative community. The task that takes out is joined closely to the needs and interests of the students, the mothers and fathers, and the teachers: we could say that it is used as a specialized tool in order to involve all the educative community in a dynamic and participative way.

 

For us, it is quite important to know the possibilities, interests, limitations, degree of effort of the group as well as every student, for that reason our greatest aim is:
  • Teach to think.
  • Teach to be a person.
  • Teach to live together.
  • Teach to behave themselves.
  • Teach to make decisions.
We will achieve all these aims through a series of behaviour fields in which all the educative community participate in. Among them we highlight:
  • Individualized attention to students, families, and teachers according to difficulties in the studies, emotional problems, relationships and interpersonal conflicts.
  • Academic and professional guidance and all those aspects related to the education, not only in the educative field, but also in the family and social relationships.
  • Talks and chats about topics of pedagogical interest for fathers and mothers (Parents’ School).
  • Prevención y seguimiento de dificultades en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje.
  • Prevention and monitoring of difficulties in the process of teaching and learning.
